At&t Cover Photo...

So yeah, At&t approached me about providing a photograph for the cover of their '08 phone book a few weeks ago. They were looking for something that depicted a sense of "community".

Well, the first thing that came to mind for me was something from "Art Beat" in downtown South Bend. I've been taking photographs of this event for the past several years, but last year we took some exceptional shots with help from Dennis Andres at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

Kaity, my assistant, was shooting in front of the Morris, when Dennis came out and asked if we would like access to the roof of the building. I was in front of the Chocolate Cafe when I get an urgent text message about the offer. I high-tailed it back to the Morris, where we were escorted up to the roof. I have to chuckle remembering this, because once we got up there, to actually get to the edge of the building there was a very steep, black portion of the roof we actually had to slide down... I think Kaity might have done it standing, but I chose to sit. Anyway, we spent the next 20 minutes or so taking photos of the event from the roof. The photo At&t is using was taken with a "fish-eye" lens... LOVE this lens!!!

Hey! 2 Things:

1: DON'T CLICK THE 'SALAR' person's post... I think it's a virus.

2: That's so awesome about the picture... we're pretty much famous now.
